Eureka Music Club Held April Meeting

The Eureka Music Club met Monday, April 8, at the Eureka Christ Lutheran Church, with fourteen members present.

The Eureka Music Club met Monday, April 8, at the Eureka Christ Lutheran Church, with fourteen members present.

Co-president Robin Himes conducted the business meeting.

Marilyn Seymour and Margaret Spires, program chairmen, presented the program, “Celebrating Spring.” The program began with the poem, “Spring,” by Thomas Nash, read by Spires; “It Might As Well Be Spring” was a vocal solo by Pat Surber; Jean Edwards played a piano solo, “What a Wonderful World;” Seymour presented a piano solo, “I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing;” Grace Stacy played an organ solo, “Christ The King;” a poem, “The Bird’s Return” was read by Seymour; Himes played a piano solo, “I Found You Among The Roses;” a piano duet by Rise Russin and Spires was played, entitled, “Spring, Song;” Mary Ellen Forbes played and sang, “April Love;” Sheryl Moody played a piano solo, “Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head;” Leanne McKee read the poem “Daffodils;” a singa- long was performed by members, “April Showers;” the final number was a piano solo, “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes,” played by Marla Degraffenreid.

Refreshments were served by hostesses Himes and Vandetta Mongeau. The May meeting will be held at the Madison United Methodist Church.
