Junior Rice, Jim Lawrence and Glen Gibson were each presented with a VFW Continuous Membership Award in recognition of 50 years continuous membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. The awards were presented by Don Scott, VFW Post 2712 Commander, on Tuesday, April 9.
All three, Rice, Lawrence and Gibson, served the nation during the Vietnam War and have been continuous members of the local VFW for 50 years or more.
