Judith Ann “Judy” Everitt also known as “Gigi,” of Eureka, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at her home at Eureka Lake, at the age of 71.

She was born on June 6, 1952, in Topeka, the daughter of Roy and Dorothy (Lingenfelter) Thomas. As a young child the family moved often as Roy was serving in the Air Force. The family later moved to Wichita where Judy graduated from South High School. Her mother later married Floyd Monfort.

In the early 70s, Judy was united in marriage to Larry Underhill. To this union two children were born. This marriage later ended in divorce. Judy went to work for Southwestern Bell (later AT&T) in Wichita. She was there for many years and worked in several different positions.

On March 29, 1997, Judy was united in marriage to Earl Judson “Judd” Everitt, Jr. After her retirement in the late 2010s, they made their home at Eureka Lake.

Judy was dedicated to her children and grandchildren and attended every event for all of her grandchildren. She had a zest for life and enjoyed going places and spending time with her casino friends.

She is survived by her husband, Judd of the home; children: Chad and wife, Sarah Underhill of Wichita; and Jodi and husband, Jason Wenzel of Wichita; five grandchildren: Lucas Underhill, Avery Underhill, Taylor Wenzel and fiancé, David Holman, Logan and husband, Jacob Pote, and Parker Wenzel and girlfriend, Emma Scholl; three great-grandchildren: Henley, Ford, and Tucker; one sister, Vicki and husband, Franklin Packard of Andover; and niece, Bailee Howard.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Phillips Cabin, Eureka, with Mr. Matt Galbraith officiating. Cremation has been effected. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Matt Samuels Memorial Golf Tournament.
