EMPORIA – CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness announced the return of its second annual comedy night fundraiser, Celebrate CrossWinds: Stand Up to Stigma! The event is scheduled for Friday, May 3, at the historic Emporia Granada Theatre.

This year’s event promises to be another evening of laughter and entertainment, all in support of crucial mental health services throughout Cross-Winds’ coverage area. Headlining the event is Gina Brillon, who finished in the top-10 of America’s Got Talent in 2021. Brillon was a featured act on Gabriel Iglesias’ “Beyond the Fluffy Tour” and has made appearances on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “Jimmy Kimmy Live.” Several of her comedy specials, including the award-winning “The Floor is Lava” are available on major streaming platforms. “With all the positive feedback we received last year, we’re really excited to be able to bring this event back and feature someone like Gina,” said Stephanie Anderson, Development Specialist at CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness. “Stand Up to Stigma is great because it gives the community a night of fun and entertainment while also supporting the overall health of our area.”

Ticket prices include dinner, drinks, and admission to CrossWinds’ annual report beginning at 5:30 p.m. For those interested in the comedy show only, General Admission balcony tickets are available, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Attendees will also have the chance to participate in an optional silent auction, with all proceeds going towards supporting CrossWinds’ mental health initiatives.

For more information on ticketing or the event, visit crosswindsks.org/events or email Stephanie Anderson at sanderson@crosswindsks. org.
