Private First Class (PFC) Leah Miles graduated from Airborne School on Friday, March 22, in Fort Moore, Ga.
PFC Miles, a 2023 graduate of Eureka Junior/Senior High School, will now begin her job school at Fort Gregg-Adams in Virginia.
She joined the United States Marine Corps last fall and was one of 42 Marines (out of 583) to receive a Meritorious promotion while in boot camp. PFC Miles also shot expert and placed second, out of 83, in her platoon. She graduated from Boot Camp on Nov. 21, 2023, in Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Private Miles’ long-term goal is to gain as much training and knowledge as she can and earn a career with the USMC.
She is pictured above with her parents, Mike and Heather Miles and brother, Ryan, all of which reside in Eureka.
