Presidential Primary Election Held

Only 380 ballots were cast in Greenwood County during the 2024 Greenwood County Presidential Primary, on Tuesday, March 19, with President Biden winning the Democratic ticket and former President Trump winning the Republican ticket.

Only 380 ballots were cast in Greenwood County during the 2024 Greenwood County Presidential Primary, on Tuesday, March 19, with President Biden winning the Democratic ticket and former President Trump winning the Republican ticket.

In Kansas, both President Biden and former President Trump received the most votes in the primary election. Unofficial results, per The Associated Press, showed President Biden with 83.8% (35,119) of the Democratic votes and former President Trump with 75.5% (70,810) of the Republican votes.

This marks the third presidential primary race held in Kansas. The others were in 1980 and 1992.

Registered voters across the nation will be able to vote in the 60th quadrennial presidential election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
