The bi-monthly meeting of the Greenwood County 4-H Council was held as a joint meeting with the Lyon County 4-H Council on March 4, at 7 p.m. at the Sauder Center in Madison with 13 members, four leaders and one agent in attendance from Greenwood County. Members were given the opportunity to learn how the other county conducts their business.

A representative from each 4-H club reported on the many activities that they took part in since the last council meeting.

For new business, decisions were made concerning the fair building watch and trash duty schedules. Members should bring the aluminum cans that they have collected to the May meeting to be donated to raise funds for the Kansas Honor Flight.

In announcements, committees were asked to be prepared to give a report at the next council meeting.

The next meeting will be held May 20 at 7 p.m. at the Neal Community Building. This will be the group’s “buddy” meeting so each member is asked to bring a guest so they can learn about being a 4-H Council member.
