WELCA met on Thursday, March 7 at the Eureka Christ Lutheran Church Bell Tower with Joni Booth presiding.
Roll call was answered by 6 members with a Bible verse. Officer reports were from secretary Sue Erickson and treasurer Margaret Spires.
Three “Thank You’s” for donations were read and the Prayer List was updated.
Members collected five tied lap robes, 16 fleece shawls, four afghans and two quilted shawls to be delivered to Eureka Nursing Center.
Grace Stacy gave an update on the pipe organ repairs.
Booth and Susan Johnson gave the program, “Turning Around,” a second chance. Members assisted with Bible verses from Luke, Exodus, I Samuel, John and Ecclesiastes.
Johnson gave a rendition of the song, “Turn, Turn, Turn.”
The next meeting will be April 4, with devotions by Stacy, program by Erickson and refreshments by Camille Frakes.
The meeting adjourned with the Lord’s Prayer in unison. Stacy provided refreshments.
