Two communities, Eureka and Howard, are planning events to coincide with their school’s annual homecoming events.
Both events will take place during the last weekend of this month, September 29 and 30.
Events in Howard will include a tailgate party, 5K Cancer Walk, BBQ Rib competition, youth football game, craft expo, car show, parade, cake walk, cornhole tournament, pet show, ice cream contest/ tasting, piano recital, tractor pull and a street dance, featuring David Oakleaf. Additional events will also be included.
The Eureka Alumni Association is working to bring “Alumni Weekend” to Eureka with various events, including: a tailgate party, caravan, community dance, cornhole and golf tournaments, vendors and concluding with an EHS alumni banquet.
Crowning for both West Elk and Eureka will be held on September 29.
Homecoming for Madison/ Virgil and Hamilton will be held on Friday, September 22.
