Greenwood County Commissioners convened for a special meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 28, where final documents pertaining to acquisition of the former CareArc location (1602 N. Elm St., Eureka) were presented for signature and approval.

Commissioners’ vote on the Purchase Agreement was delayed from the Monday, Feb. 26 regular meeting, as County Legal Counsel advised that additional verbiage was needed within documentation.

As commissioners convened last Wednesday morning, the following documents were approved: Resolution 24-01, accepting conveyance of real estate for what has been known as the CareArc Clinic; the Eureka Kansas Rural Health Purchase Agreement and the Limited License Agreement, transferring the lease for the clinic from CareArc to Greenwood County Hospital (GWCH).

GWCH’s Eureka Clinic is currently relocating to the newly acquired building. Following this transition, the Wound Care and Infusion Clinics will be housed in the former Eureka Clinic space. Eureka Clinic is slated to open its doors at the new location on Wednesday, March 6.

Further details pertaining to acquisition of the facility and plans were included in the Feb. 14 and 28 editions of The Eureka Herald.

Coverage of the March 4 regular meeting of the Greenwood County Commissioners can be found elsewhere in this week’s edition.
