West Elk Patriot basketball competed at Flinthills last Tuesday, Feb. 13 going head-to-head with the Mustangs.
The Patriot boys were down by 7 after the first quarter, trailing 9-16. Flinthills carried a narrow lead to halftime, West Elk down 28-30. One point was all that separated the score as the two teams entered the final quarter, West Elk trailing 42-43. At the buzzer, West Elk claimed the win, 60-57.
Scoring for the Patriots were: Uriah Tillapaugh 17, Maddex Moreno 15, Martin Shipley and Kase Kill with 8 points each, Trent Haag 7 and Garett Usry with 5 points.
The West Elk Lady Patriots fell to Flinthills, 3951. Additional details were unavailable at the time of publication.
