Bulldogs Split With Lyndon Tigers

The Madison Bulldogs hosted the Tigers of Lyndon last Friday night, Feb. 16, for their annual Parent’s Night event.

The Madison Bulldogs hosted the Tigers of Lyndon last Friday night, Feb. 16, for their annual Parent’s Night event.

Lady Bulldogs scored double digits in all four quarters, to claim the win 51-48.

In the first quarter, Madison found themselves trailing by one, 14-15, going into the second. The Lady Bulldogs were outscored by one again in the second quarter to trail 24-26 at halftime. Madison came out hot in the third quarter and outscored the Tigers 13-6 to take a 3732 lead. The teams battled in the fourth quarter with Lyndon again outscoring the Bulldogs, this time 16--14, but the strong third quarter by Madison was enough and the Lady Bulldogs claimed the win 51-48. Scoring for Madison were Jalynn Weakley 27, Caylin Luthi 14, Jenna Thomsen 5, Candice Ashlock 3 and Sadie Albert 2.

The Madison boys team fell to Lyndon, 26-59. Scoring details for the boys games was unavailable at the time of publication.

Up Next

The Madison Bulldogs will be competing in the Rosalia-Flinthills Sub-State, beginning this week. Both Madison teams are seeded third in the tournament and will face Yates Center. The boys will host Yates Center on Thursday and the girls will host the Wildcats on Friday. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. both nights.
