The Tornadoes hit on only one of twelve shots in the third quarter. They continued their habit of having at least one quarter per game of absolutely miserable shooting. The difference this time was they broke out of the slump two minutes into the fourth quarter and were able to hold the Lions at bay. They also shot much better from the line than the last two games, getting 10 of their points from the stripe.

The Tornadoes had only 9 turnovers, the first time they kept the number of turnovers in single digits this entire season. They also forced Bluestem to commit 21, a testament to the stout Tornado defense.

Senior Lyle Perrier led the scoring for the Tornadoes with 20 points. Senior Jace Nixon had 11, junior Laken Valentine had 8, senior Cole Adkins had 6, sophomores T. J. Mills and Cole Ptacek had 2 each, and junior Tanner Biering added 1.
