The West Elk Patriot basketball teams hosted Oxford last Friday, Feb. 2, where the Lady Patriots were victorious for the night.
Lady Patriots claimed a 44-43 victory. Twenty of those points came from free throws. The Lady Patriots were led by Briea McGee 19, Makaila Gillespie 11, Neveah Tillapaugh 5 and Jaicey Tillapaugh, Milly Koop 3 and Josey Toon and Kylie Beougher all with 2.
The Patriot boys fell 5358. West Elk was led by Maddex Moreno 17 and Uriah Tillapaugh 15. Others scoring for West Elk were Martin Shipley 7, Kase Kill and Trent Haag each with 4 and Garrett Usry and Roman Moreno each with 3.
