Several Elk County wrestlers represented the Cobras on Sunday, Jan. 28, in Chanute for the Woods Classic.
Six Elk County Wrestling (EWC) club members, Tristen Mast, Flint Pope, Maverick Ford, Kash Bidwell, Raylan Wunderlich and Kyler Wunderlich, claimed top honors in their weight class.
Placing second for (ECW) club were: Emma Baumgartel, Jayce Baumgartel, Axl Ellsbury, Hendrix Ellsbury and Riggin McGee. Corbin Arbuckle, Lakin Love and Skylee Edwards placed 3rd.

8u Boys 80 Open: Tristen Mast placed 1st. He won by forfeit over Bodhi Farley (Bourbon County Cowboys Wrestling); and won by fall over Havick Westerman (Iola Kids Wrestling) (Fall 0:19).

12u Girls 85-95: Emma Baumgartel placed 2nd. She won by fall over Aubriana Hamic (Central Heights Viking Kids) (Fall 0:45); and won by fall over Caroline Daily (Burlington Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:11).
12u Girls 85-95: Lakin Love placed 3rd. She won by fall over Jemma Cole (Burlington Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:51); won by fall over Aubriana Hamic (Central Heights Viking Kids) (Fall 0:43); and won by forfeit over Carmen Davidson (Linn County Twisters).
12u Girls 130-140: Haylee Knight won a 6-5 decision over Emersynn Allen (Fredonia Wrestling Club).
6u Boys 37 Open: Jayce Baumgartel placed 2nd. He won a 12-10 decision in sudden victory - 1 over Grayson Stifter (Linn County Twisters).
6u Boys 46 OpenB: Flint Pope placed 1st. He won by fall over Majer Armbruster (Cherryvale Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:34); won a 12-4 major decision over Hudson Blackman (Oz Trojan Wrestling Club); and won a 7-2 decision over Creed Ermel (Humboldt Cub Wrestling Club).
6u Boys 52 OpenB: Konlee Bidwell placed 4th. He won a 14-12 decision in sudden victory - 1 over Fenian Carland (Cherryvale Wrestling Club); and won an 8-7 decision in tie breaker - 1 over Connor Van Lerberg (SlyFox Wrestling Academy).
6u Girls 41-44: Skylee Edwards placed 3rd. She won a 4-2 decision over Kaidyn Camper (Caney Valley Wrestling); won a 13-4 major decision over Gracie Thomsen (Burlington Wrestling Club).
