Noble Francis Chaplin of the Midian Shrine Center in Wichita was recently awarded the Shriner of the Year award by Potentate Robert Bair. Illustrious Sir Bair regaled the audience with Chaplin’s accomplishments over his 20 years as a Shrine member, focusing on highlights from this year and Chaplin’s five-year term as Midian’s Ceremonial Director.
The award recipient is kept a secret from the Noble and Shrine members until it is announced. Chaplin’s family and many friends were notified so they could surprise him and join him in the celebration of all his work.
