Members of the Elk County Wrestling Club traveled to Augusta and Wichita over the weekend for two separate tournaments.
A total of 14 Cobras battled at the two tournaments, with 12 of them placing in the top four.
Following are the individual match wins for Elk County Cobra participants: 2024 Augusta Open and Novice
6U 43A: Skylee Edwards placed 4th. She won by fall over Theo Clemens (South Central Punishers) (Fall 2:30).
6U 46C: Flint Pope placed 2nd. He won by fall over Axel Stephens (South Central Punishers) (Fall 0:32); and won a 6-4 decision over Wade Carlson (Renegades).
6U 52A: Konlee Bidwell placed 2nd. He won by fall over Koehn Ball (South Central Punishers) (Fall 0:25); won a 12-10 decision over Ryatt Marquardt (Augusta Wrestling Club); and won by fall over Hainslei Carey (Smoky Valley Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:55).
10U Novice 70A: Maverick Ford placed 2nd. He won by fall over Henry Harshman (Chase County Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:39); won a 10-2 major decision over Rylan Palmer (Ark City Takedown Wrestling Cl); and won by fall over Skyy Pacheco-Richter (Ark City Takedown Wrestling Cl) (Fall 1:31).
10U Open 85: Kash Bidwell placed 4th. He won by fall over Kayvin Bellew (Mulvane Jr. Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:33); and won by fall over Nixon Waggoner (Ark City Takedown Wrestling Cl) (Fall 1:48).
10U Open 120-130: Raylan Wunderlich placed 3rd. He won a 7-2 decision over Nash Gaskill (Circle Wrestling Club); won a 9-0 major decision over Landon Heckroth (Smoky Valley Wrestling Club); won a 2-1 decision over Grant Rogers (Ark City Takedown Wrestling Cl); and won a 5-0 decision over Grant Rogers (Ark City Takedown Wrestling Cl).
10U Open 120-130: Kyler Wunderlich placed 2nd. He won by fall over Austin Hansen (Mulvane Jr. Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:40); won a 7-0 decision over Carey Peterson (Smoky Valley Wrestling Club); and won a 4-2 decision over Raylan Wunderlich (Elk County Wrestling).
8U Open 80-88: Tristen Mast placed 5th. He won by fall over Eli Dohrman (Bluestem Jr wrestling club) (Fall 1:43).
12U 140: Corbin Arbuckle placed 5th.
2024 David Goodsell Jr Memorial At Bishop Carroll 10U Girls 65-70: Autumn Love placed 2nd. She won by fall over Bonnie Reese (El Dorado Wrestling Club) (Fall 2:00); and won a 9-1 major decision over Addison Ritchey (Derby Wrestling Club).
10U Girls 100-110: Pyper Ford placed 4th. She won by fall over Sophie Burt (El Dorado Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:39).
